Reason to rhyme in Jerusalem

Kissufim: The fourth Jerusalem Conference for Jewish Authors and Poets takes place today through November 27, at Mishkenot Sha’ananim, Beit Avichai and Tmol Shilshom. The theme of this year’s conference is “Identity and Otherness.”

The conference gathers Jewish writers from all over the world, creating connections between writers working in different languages and cultures, and local readers. Among this year’s international guests are poet Jennifer Barber (US), novelist/ poet Marcia Falk (US), poet Mehmet Yashin (Cyprus-Turkey) and author Galina Zelenina (Russia). Israeli writers at the conference include Etgar Keret, Haim Beer, David Grossman, Sami Michael and many more poets and writers.
