Right-wing extremist group head Gopstein acquitted of assault against left-wing radical

The head of the extreme right-wing organization Lehava, Bentzi Gopstein, who espouses anti-assimilation views between Jews and Arabs, was acquitted of assault charges on Sunday at Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court stemming from an incident in 2008.

According to court records, Gopstein was accused of assaulting radical left-wing activist Ezra Nawi, of the Ta’ayush group, who infiltrated his Givat Avot community, located in Hebron.
