Security forces arrest Arab-Israeli from Nazareth for fighting with ISIS

Security forces arrested an Arab Israeli resident of Nazareth earlier this month who allegedly traveled to Syria and Iraq and fought for the Islamic State [IS], the Shin Bet [Israel Security Agency] said Sunday.

According to the domestic intelligence agency, the suspect, Maharan Yussuf Khaladi, who was born in 1995, was arrested upon his return from Ben Gurion Airport, and subsequently confessed during questioning to fighting alongside the Islamic State.

Before deciding to join the terror organization, the suspect viewed Islamic State videos on the internet which "influenced him deeply," the Shin Bet added.
