South Africa to review its membership to Rome Statute of ICC over Bashir arrest

South Africa’s cabinet is set to review its membership to the Rome statute of the ICC after a recent incident in which Sudan’s Omar Bashir visited South Africa. Bashir is charged with crimes against humanity and war crimes by the ICC and an arrest attempt was made, and failed. The government will considering withdrawing from the ICC a last resort.
