Start-Up Nation’s students lag behind in reading, math, and computer skills

Israeli’s basic skills in reading, math, and problem solving in a digital environment lag behind other developed countries, according to an international survey conducted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The report, also known as the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) was released Tuesday by the Central Bureau of Statistics in Israel.

It surveyed basic adult skills among people aged 16-65 in literacy, numeracy, and problem solving in technology-rich environments in 34 countries.
