Suspects from extremist Jewish group indicted for arson of Church of Loaves and Fishes

Five suspects have been arrested for alleged involvement in the June 18 arson attack against the the Church of Loaves and Fishes on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in northern Israel, the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) announced Wednesday. Two of the men, aged 19 and 20, have been indicted.

The church, which Christians believe is where Jesus performed the Miracle of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fishes, was damaged extensively in the fire and two people who worked at the site suffered smoke inhalation in the incident.

Police began to suspect that it was a case of arson when they found graffiti in Hebrew on the scene, denouncing the worship of idols.
