Tel Aviv’s Norman named ‘Best Boutique’ hotel in the world

Tel Aviv’s quiet, unassuming Nahmani Street is home to what is currently the “Best Boutique” hotel in the world, according to the U.S. travel magazine Jetsetter, which bestowed the annual honor on the Norman, a fancy little establishment that opened its lavish doors last year.

The magazine examined 23 hotel categories, including ‘best over-the-top luxury,’ ‘best for foodies,’ ‘best for romance,’ etc., and based its picks on reviews by 200 journalists.

“The Norman is a 50-room boutique with a rooftop infinity pool,” wrote the editors, explaining their pick. “Set in two 1920s residences (one lemon-yellow, one powder-blue), the property overlooks King Albert Square. The rooms have a serene urban loft feel, with hardwood floors, pastel hues, floor-to-ceiling windows and midcentury furniture. Book a Loft Suite for a lounge area, a large bathroom with a tub, and a balcony. Head to the rooftop for a dip in the pool and views of Tel Aviv’s skyline.”

Rooms start at $415 per night – and if you’re interested in seeing just how splendid it can possibly get, you’ll find yourself forking over about seven times that for a night in the classiest room in the house. Enjoy!
