The artillery brigade that can send missiles into a living room window

The story of the David’s Sling Brigade reflects, in ways few other units do, the radical transformation of Israel’s security environment over the past decades.

Originally set up after the 1973 Yom Kippur War to destroy advancing enemy tank formations with anti-tank missiles, the unit today specializes in precision strikes in urban warfare settings, against enemies deeply embedded in the Lebanese and Gazan civilian population centers.

Col. M. (full name withheld) commands the Brigade. He told The Jerusalem Post in recent days about how its personnel are preparing for future battlefield challenges.
