MK Shuli Mualem-Refaeli (Jewish Home) spoke to Arutz Sheva on Wednesday about the pain she and the rest of Israel feel regarding the current security crisis. She particularly noted the lack of security felt throughout the country.
While Mualem-Refaeli admitted that she is not an expert when it comes to security measures, she noted that it has become clear that actions need to be taken against the current terror problem in Israel.
"We cannot continue to present all of these terrorists as individual operators. The feeling has become that the terrorists are taking their attacks to a new level, and we are not rising to the occasions. Two innocent women were murdered in their own homes within a week."
MK Mualem-Refaeli addressed the Defense Minister's statements about containing the terrorists. "It has been explained to me there are those with more experience than I when it comes to security, but perhaps we need to think outside of the box."
"Perhaps we don't need to add more defensive measures, but offensive measures," she continued. "I believe that when the choice is between saving Jewish lives and the smooth running of Palestinian lives, then the state of Israel must choose to save Jewish lives. If for someone out there this decision is not clear, let's make it clear for you."
"It is not conceivable that there is widespread continuous incitement and constant murders, and then people come and try to explain to us that we are flattening the terrorists. Currently the only thing being flattened out are the lives of Israeli citizens. We are the lowest on the food chain. Having the lives of even some of the citizens of Israel being abandoned is something that we cannot allow to pass."
