Attorney Itamar Ben Gvir, a resident of Hevron, reacted on Thursday to the latest terrorist attack in Kiryat Arba, telling Arutz Sheva that Israel's conduct is causing a weakness that encourages terrorists to carry out attacks.
“The writing was on the wall. When the Israeli government signs a shameful agreement of surrender and pays $21 million to those who came to harm IDF soldiers and lynch them – the message to the terrorist on the street is: 'Hit a Jew, beat him, kill him and hurt him, maybe you'll get compensation – who knows,'” Ben Gvir said, referring to the reconciliation deal between Israel and Turkey.
“Perhaps this villainous terrorist counted on the fact that that he will eventually receive compensation from Bibi and Liberman,” he added.
“The Israeli government must understand that this situation cannot continue. They are conveying a message of surrender, they are actually supporting terrorism – and they must understand that the unfortunate result that we saw today is a direct result of the submission and subservience of the government,” said Ben Gvir.
