Three killed in suspected hit-and-run in Israel’s north

Three people were killed on Sunday in a car accident on Route 70 in northern Israel. Authorities suspect the accident was a hit-and-run and are searching for a driver who hit two private vehicles and fled.

Two people also sustained light to moderate injuries in the accident, which occurred at the entrance to the town of Tamra.

Police has set up roadblocks near the site of the accident and Route 70 has been closed off between Yavor Junction and I’billin Junction.  

Earlier on Sunday, four people were wounded in a car accident at the Ein Hamifratz Junction near Acre.
