Top prosecutor accused in massive bribery scandal; did not go crooked until left office

Ruth David, the former head of the Tel Aviv District Attorney’s Office already under indictment in a massive bribery scandal, did not commit any crimes for which she can be indicted while in office, Attorney-General Avichai Mandelblit decided on Tuesday.

David as head of the prosecution’s Tel Aviv office was one of the most powerful prosecutor’s in the country, with those occupying her office under consideration for heading the entire national prosecutorial apparatus.
