Trifecta: No license, stolen car, en route to attack

Judea-Samaria district police cleared for publication on Monday that a 23-year-old Palestinian Arab was arrested the day before, as he broke three laws – he drove without a license, in a stolen car, and was on his way to conduct a car ramming terror attack.

The reprobate would-be terrorist from Ramallah in Samaria was arrested on Sunday morning as he drove up to a police checkpoint in the Binyamin region of Samaria.

During their routine check, the officers were surprised to find that the Arab had never been issued a driver's license, and that the car he was driving was stolen around a month ago from the central coastal area of Israel.

Police arrested the driver and brought him in for investigation at the Binyamin police station.

Under investigation, he admitted that he planned to conduct a car ramming attack against IDF soldiers "because of the occupation of the lands of Palestine."

He even specified that he intended to become a "martyr" by dying during his terror attack, and added that he supports Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah faction.

The would-be attacker revealed that he was surprised by the police officers at the checkpoint, and therefore he was unable to conduct his terror plans.

At the conclusion of his investigation, he was jailed at Ofer Prison north of Jerusalem.
