Two dogs burn to death after arsonists in North set fire to animal shelter

An animal shelter located in the northern town of Sakhnin announced on its Facebook page on Monday that its dog pound was destroyed by arsonists who set fire to it, killing two canines. Twelve other dogs survived the ordeal.

According to Let the Animals Live, after firefighters managed to douse the flames that had engulfed the dog pound, they managed to rescue a number of dogs. Those who survived the blaze were transferred to a shelter near Modi’in, where they await adoption.

Police launched an investigation into the arson.
