Watch: Gaza policewomen trained ‘in the spirit of Jihad’

A recent report on Hamas's Al-Aqsa TV provided some insight into how policewomen in Gaza are trained.

The report, which aired on February 17 and translated by The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), shows policewomen in the Hamas-controlled area undergoing weapons training and conducting military drills. It stresses that the women "gain sniper skills" and "perform all their duties in the spirit of Jihad."

Hamas often boasts of how it trains locals in “the spirit of Jihad”, and many times this footage shows direct threats against Israel and Jews.

Examples of this include a Hamas rally in Gaza during which two boys were seen rapping about fighting “the occupation”.

A previous clip released by MEMRI showed footage from a youth camp organized by Hamas’s so-called “military wing”, in which young cadets learn how to use weapons and simulate the kidnapping of an Israeli soldier.

A previous clip shows a televised graduation ceremony for a similar Hamas youth camp in Gaza. At the ceremony, suicide terror attacks against the “Zionist enemy” were glorified by Hamas officials.
Other Gaza terrorist groups do this as well. Last year, MEMRI translated footage from Hezbollah television showing Gazan women training in the use of weapons and explosive devices in the Al-Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades, the “military wing” of the Popular Resistance Committees.

The Popular Resistance Committees is one of the three groups that participated in the kidnapping of IDF soldier Gilad Shalit in June 2006.
