The Jerusalem of Gold auctions center, located in the Israeli capital, holds an auction every two months in which hundreds of rare and valuable items are sold. The items include religious books, letters by rabbis, Judaica items, stamps and banknotes from various periods and much more.

The next such auction will take place on Monday, July 27, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Jerusalem of Gold headquarters, located at 2 Maimon St. in Jerusalem.

Ahead of the auction, Arutz Sheva spoke with Moshe Nachmani of the auctions center, who said that the center attracts a wide variety of clients, from hassidim who are interested in buying antique items with a Jewish theme to stamp collectors.

Monday’s auction, he said, will include a manuscript written by one of the greatest Iranian Jews, Ohr Shraga, who can be compared in his importance to the founder of hassidic Judaism, the Baal Shem Tov.

“It’s the only manuscript of Ohr Shraga which exists,” said Nachmani. “It’s a very interesting and exciting historical items…I think it will be very interesting to participate in the auction.”
