Workplace abuse law passes provisional reading

The Knesset voted in a provisional reading to pass a bill that prevents workplace abuse on Wednesday.

The bill, put forward by MK Merav Michaeli (Zionist Union), allows for compensation of up to NIS 120,000 for abuse in the workplace.

The purpose of the bill is to prohibit repetitive behaviors such as humiliation, degradation, interfering with a person’s ability to do their job, and all other behaviors that create a hostile environment in the workplace.
