Former Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich will oppose attempts by current party chairman Isaac Herzog to postpone the next leadership race, she told Israel Radio Monday morning.
Herzog’s associates have confirmed he is considering a move to delay the race that currently must be held by May to 2017. Such a postponement could result in there being no race before the next general election.
"I won’t support any maneuvers to move up or move back the race to prevent candidates from running," she said. "I’m against such tricks."
